Hospital Thanks Hard Working Volunteers

goodhope

Good Hope Hospital thanked its hard working volunteers last week with a special day trip to Trentham Gardens.

More than 40 volunteers attended the day which included a tour of the gardens, cream tea and scones and a thank you goodie bag.

With a total of 200 local volunteers on its database, the Hospital’s dedicated team provides an invaluable helping hand in various areas of Hospital life. The volunteers can get involved in a range of roles including administrative duties, portering, ward volunteers, meeting and greeting visitors and helping out at special event days.

Angela Butts, volunteer service advisor, said: “The day has been a lovely way of thanking our volunteers and letting them know we value all that they do. We have volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life and a great time was had by all. We’ve  also arranged a second trip in early August to Drayton Manor for those volunteers who prefer a livelier day out!”

The volunteer service has rewarding roles for nearly all those looking to make a difference at their local hospital. If you are interested in finding out more about the volunteering service at Good Hope, Heartlands or Solihull Hospitals, please contact Anne Rudge of the volunteers team on
