Good Hope Hospital opened a new treatment unit this week for those suffering from skin conditions in Sutton Coldfield.

The phototherapy unit will treat those with conditions such as Psoriasis and eczema using state of the art technology.

The new unit means patients can receive treatment at Good Hope and benefit from this specialized service in their area.

Dr Jaideep Bhat, Consultant dermatologist said: “The unit is a fantastic facility that will provide a more convenient service for Sutton residents. Those who receive phototherapy can have up to six weeks of treatment totalling 20 sessions, so having treatment available closer to home will be a great improvement to our services.”

The expansion has also included the appointment of additional dermatology consultants Dr. M Kaur and Dr. J Hague.
