Annual General Meeting to outline hospitals’ plans and progress

Members of the public with an interest in local health services are invited to attend Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 25 September 2017.

They will have the opportunity to find out what has been achieved in the year, what were the challenges, and how the hospitals, clinics and community services have improved care for local communities. The organisation’s Annual Report & Accounts will be presented and questions relating to the Trust, which covers Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals as well as Birmingham Chest Clinic and community services will be answered on the day.

Interim Chair for Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Rt. Hon Jacqui Smith, said: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to staff, patients or members of our community who may want to attend our AGM.
“This past year has been one of undoubted challenge, but we have also seen some significant achievements, and I would personally thank each and every one of our staff for their tireless efforts, day in and day out, for the benefit of our patients. This coming year will be one where we place particular focus on work to significantly improve our services with support and input from our local communities. With the process underway for HEFT and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust to potentially become a single Trust, and with plans in the pipeline to build a new Ambulatory Care and Diagnostics Centre, we value input from the public, patients and staff on shaping how services are delivered.

“We are committed to building healthier lives and look forward to this opportunity to share our reflections on the past year with our local population and to set our goals, aspirations and priorities for the year to come. I would urge those with an interest to attend this meeting.”
The meeting will be held in the Education Centre Lecture Theatre at Heartlands Hospital from 4-6pm.
Refreshments will be served half an hour prior to all meetings.

Those wishing to attend the AGM can book by phoning 0121 424 3297.

The full agenda and meeting papers will be available on the Trust’s website one week prior to the AGM at: www.heartofengland.nhs.uk
