Freedom of Information Request: 0141 2019/20

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018.  Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust this response has been provided by hospital site.

I am requesting data through Freedom Of Information Act regarding accessing hearing services by gender, age and ethnicity.

  1. Two blank excel tables are attached with this email through which the data was provided last year. Could I please request the tables to be completed of which one is for time period Jan 2017 to Dec 2017 and the other Jan 2018 to Dec 2018?  I would like to request the data covering all four sites of University Hospitals Birmingham Audiology/Hearing Services.

2. Could you also please provide me with the following data:

– Total overall patient population covered by the trust, treated or not treated And 

– The total patient population covered by the trust in 2018 only treated or not treated

The Trust does not have a defined patient catchment area. The Trust serves the Birmingham and Solihull areas and provides specialist treatment to patients from across the UK. Further information can be found at https://www.uhb.nhs.uk/about-us.htm.
