University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1^st April 2018.   UHB includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic.

Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust some responses have been provided by hospital site.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Can we request the following information from the last 2 calendar years:

1. Total number of vacancies for doctors shifts

 2. Of these how many were filled by bank staff, how many were escalated to agency and the spending of each (bank fill v locum/agency fill)

 3. Can we get a breakdown of the internal and external rates paid?

 4. Can we have this information broken down by department and grade?
