Freedom of Information Request: 0600 2019/20

Can you specify how many patients have been admitted by your Trust’s A&E department as a result of vaping fluids laced with either cannabis, or derivatives like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or Spice and or similar synthetic cannabinoids, in the in each of the last five calendar years.

Can you also specify the total number of patients admitted as a result of vaping standard fluids, eg tobacco derivatives.

Can you also break this down by gender and the following age brackets: Under 16, Under 18, Under 25 and 26 and over.

We do not hold this information – we do not code A&E admissions in a way that allows us to identify patients who were admitted as a result of vaping fluids laced with the above drugs.
