66 agreements had confidentiality clauses

  • The total amount of financial compensation paid to former employees as part of the confidentiality clauses from 2010-2014

We have provided the total paid to staff under severance agreements but none of these monies related directly to confidentiality clauses even though these formed part of the wider agreement.  The sums paid covered different areas including compensation in lieu of notice, leave and pension and compensation related to our MARS scheme (Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme):  £1,296M.
