FOI 5864 Adult Patients who have been Physically Restrained

1. How many adult patients of the Trust have been physically restrained and by whom? Was this by clinical or security staff, and was it due to aggression, agitation or other cognitive behavioural problems such as dementia. These details are required for the period January 2017 to 2nd March 2018

2. How many patients over the age of 80 with dementia have been restrained in the above context?
We do not hold this information.

3. What percentage of non-clinical staff, directly or indirectly employed who may be expected to restrain patients as part of their normal duties, as of March 2nd 2018, are trained in the restraint of adult patients?
All of the Trust security staff are trained in Enhanced Physical Intervention and this would form part of normal duties.
