The Bereavement Service has a dedicated team of staff who co-ordinate all of the paperwork that needs to be completed after death, such as the medical cause of death certificate and any necessary cremation forms. They liaise with medical and nursing staff, funeral directors, the Coroner’s office, the register office and various other outside agencies. They can also advise on support agencies.
The Patient’s Property Officer works with patients and staff to ensure safekeeping of valuable items brought into the hospital.
