Charity quiz night to benefit Children’s Unit

Heartlands HospitalLocals that fancy some quiz fun whilst raising vital funds for the Children’s Unit at Birmingham’s Heartlands Hospital are invited to come along to a charity quiz taking place this month.

The quiz, organised by the Hospital’s charity along with staff on the Children’s Unit, will take place at Coleshill Social Club on 24 April.  All proceeds from the night will go towards essential play and learning materials for the Unit’s youngsters.

Samantha Askey, nursery nurse at Heartlands Hospital, said: “Staying in a hospital environment can be an extremely difficult time for young patients.  We aim to raise funds for toys, art activities and essential resources to help make the children’s stay in hospital a more positive experience.”

Teams of up to six people are invited to participate in the quiz with entry costing £5 per player. The quiz night will cover topics such as ‘general knowledge’ and ‘film and TV.’ Raffle tickets will also be sold on the night. Doors will open at 7.30pm and the quiz will start at 8pm.

If you are interested in raising money for a ward or department in your local Hospital, contact the fundraising team on 0121 424 3838 or email fundraising@heartofengland.nhs.uk
