Dignity at Work – Speak Up Speak Out – the Bullying and Harassment Month of Activities

The Trust has looked at the feedback from the National Staff and Bullying and Harassment Surveys and in the month of January 2017 we will start to work on some of the recommendations.

We have a planned programme of activities to raise the awareness of bullying and harassment in the workplace and to build an environment that is free from intimidation, harassment or victimisation.  We are looking to increase the reporting and awareness surrounding dignity at work and will re-launch our Confidential Contacts; these are members of staff from across the Trust that staff can talk to independently about an issue; promote the work of the new Freedom to Speak up Guardian, Ann Keogh, launch the new Dignity at Work Policy and provide signposting to other support mechanisms.

There will also be a series of drop-in sessions themed around the issues you have raised; where and how to get help and information, understanding what is and is not bullying and harassment, and how to challenge and report it.

The drop-in sessions take place on the following dates in January between 12pm and 2pm at Heartlands Dolphins area, Good Hope Main X-Ray (Richard Salt Unit) and Solihull Seasons Restaurant, Birmingham Chest Clinic and Community sites:

• Week 1: Theme – Recognising Signs of Bullying & Harassment and Promoting positive behaviours (Trust Values) – Good Hope  January 4th , Solihull January 5th  and Heartlands January 6th
