FOI 0015 2019/20 Translating and Interpreting

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018.  Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust some responses have been provided by hospital site.

The contract was originally in place at the former HEFT. This contract began on 01/05/2017, and ends 01/05/2020, with an option to extend for a further 2×12 months. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital aligned their contract with this contract post-merger on 01/11/2018.

This costs the Trust £633,262.00

  • The date the contract ends with the current company.

01/05/2020 but there is the option to extend as above.
