Freedom of Information Request: 0151 2019/20

Please can you provide me with the following information – and for each question, giving a year by year breakdown for a) 2016-17 b) 2017-18 c) 2018-19.

  1. How many staff members at your trust have reported a) bullying b) harassment c) abuse by another staff member (if possible, please break down into i) bullying/harassment/abuse from other colleagues and ii) bullying/harassment/abuse from managers). Please detail the outcome of each report once formally investigated.

 

2016/17

 No of cases – 17 cases

Breakdown of complaints – 11 complaints against colleagues, 6 against line managers

Outcomes –         1 x Formal Disciplinary Action up to and including dismissal

                              3 x allegations not upheld

2 x no case to answer

4 x resignation

2 x mediation

5 x outcome not recorded on system

 2017/18

 No of cases – 22 cases

Breakdown of complaints – 16 complaints against colleagues, 7 against line managers

Outcomes –          4 x Formal Disciplinary Action up to and including dismissal

                              4 x informal action

5 x allegations not upheld

9 x no case to answer

1 x outcome not recorded on system

 

2018/19

 No of cases – 22 cases

Breakdown of complaints – 15 complaints against colleagues, 7 against line managers

Outcomes –          5 x Formal Disciplinary Action up to and including dismissal

                              4 x informal action

     

1 x allegations not upheld

7 x no case to answer

 In how many cases were non-disclosure agreements used as part of the outcome of a formal investigation?

Do you have a stated policy on the use of non-disclosure agreements?

 

The Trust does not use non-disclosure agreements. All exit agreements contain standard confidentiality clauses as to the fact and terms of the agreement which do not preclude public interest concerns from being raised.
