Freedom of Information Request: 0391
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018. UHB includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic.
Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust some responses have been provided by hospital site.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital
1. How many non-UK EU nationals currently work at your organisation? Please could I have this information broken down by nationality and position?
Currently, 437 non-UK EU nationals work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The Trust does hold this information. However we are withholding it under Section 40 (Personal information) of the Freedom of Information Act. Due to the low numbers of staff members from some countries this could lead to identification of those individuals which would be a breach of the Data Protection Act 2018.
The breakdown by staff group is as follows:
2. How many non-UK EU nationals have left the organisation in the last twelve months, and how many have left in each of the previous three years? (2016, 2017 and 2018 thus far). Can I have that broken down by year?
