University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018. UHB includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic.
Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust some responses have been provided by hospital site.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital

The food provision in the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham is as follows:
Dining area (Restaurant Level 2) is open to staff and visitors. It sells hot and cold beverages, snacks, confectionery, cakes, sandwiches, hot meals and cooked breakfasts.
Vending machines serve hot and cold beverages, snacks and sandwiches at various locations throughout QEHB
Other outlets include the Cellar Restaurant within Nuffield House on the old QE site, the Clock Tower cafe on the main corridor at the old QE, the café in the Outpatients Department at Selly Oak plus various food and beverage vending machines across all sites.
In addition to food and drink establishments, a weekly supply of tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread, spreads and biscuits are delivered to the QEHB Doctors Mess.
