FOI 0438 – Daily Living Aids

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018.   UHB includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic.

 For the purposes of this request we have answered on behalf of the whole Trust.

 

Freedom of Information Request: FOI 0438

1. How many “daily living aids” (e.g. walking sticks and crutches) were issued to patients by the hospital (A & E, Fracture clinic or similar department) in the last financial year.

We do not hold this information.

2. How many “daily living aids” (e.g. walking sticks, and crutches) were picked up or recycled by the hospital  (or a company working for the hospital) in the last financial year.

We do not hold this information.

3. How much did the hospital spend on “daily living aids” (e.g. walking sticks, and crutches) in the last financial year?

This information is available on the Trust’s website at FOI 0260 . We are therefore withholding this information under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 “information already accessible “.
