1)Was the contract award to Word360 Ltd Tendered out? Can you provide publication of tender invitation (ITT)?

The contract was not tendered out specifically. Following the merger by acquisition, University Hospitals Birmingham have aligned their interpretation service contract with the existing provider to Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull (HGS – previously Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust)  which was Word360 under the Health Trust Europe Framework Agreement, with effect from 1st November 2018. A contract change control note was done to this effect.

We also had the option to direct award, but utilised a mini tender with the incumbents for HGS and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (pre-merger).
