FOI 0609: Facilities Management

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018.  Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust this response has been provided by hospital site.

Please would you be able to tell me which providers you use for your hard and soft Facilities Management, and what the annual contract values are, and how long is left on the contracts?

 

Soft facilities management is in house and managed by the Trust.

The Hard Facilities Management (FM) Service at QEHB is operated by a private sector company, Consort Healthcare (Birmingham), as part of a wider PFI contract which expires on midnight 14 August 2046. The day to day Hard FM services are undertaken by Engie Ltd. The annual contract value for Hard FM is £18,063,899.
