FOI 0665 Anti Infectives 2019/20

Freedom of Information Request: 0665 2019/20

I have a Freedom of Information request that I hope you’ll be able to help me with, it is with regards to the use of Anti Infectives within your Organisation:

The Trust does not hold this data in a format that allows us to provide answers to your questions.

We are able to gather consumption level data (defined daily doses [DDD] per 1000 admissions) on antimicrobial usage for the below antibiotics. However we are currently not able to determine the number of prescriptions related to a specific indication.

This is due to the current limitations of the electronic prescribing system. The Trust is looking to introduce this level of prescribing data with an indication based structured prescribing module in late 2020.
