This is in WTE (Whole Time Equivalent) i.e. 1 x Full Time member of staff equals 1 WTE. This is split across the various staff groups as required in reporting to NHS regulators such as NHS Improvement.

How long each of those positions has been unfilled

The Trust employees over 20,000 staff, the vacancies above are shown at a point in time and therefore could have been vacant for one week, one month or longer. The vacancy numbers are collated by comparing actual staff in post to the funded staffing budgets, the Trust does not have the capability to breakdown each separate vacancy to determine by how long it has been unfilled.
