How many case of GHB overdoses were admitted to your A&E department between November 1st 2017 and November 1st 2018?

Please note, GHB can also be referred to as any of the following terms:

  • GBL
  • gamma-hydroxybutyrate
  • gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid
  • 4-hydroxybutanoic acid
  • 1,4-butanediol
  • 1,4-BD

The Trust does hold the information you have requested, however we estimate that compliance with your request would exceed the appropriate costs limit under section 12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000. This is currently £450. The appropriate limit would be exceeded if it would require more than 18 hours work.

In order to retrieve this data, we would need to individually review 848 records, taking approximately two minutes per record and 28 hours in total.

We are therefore withholding this information under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act.
