FOI 0770: Electronic Procurement

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) completed a merger by acquisition of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT) on 1st April 2018.  Due to historical differences in data collection/reporting across UHB and the former Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust this response has been provided by hospital site.

  • What percentage of the trust’s transaction volume is operated through an electronic catalogue?-

5% via NHS Supply Chain. At present we do not have an electronic catalogue system in place, However we are currently in the process of implementing one.

  • What percentage of the trust’s transaction volume is covered by electronic purchase orders?

60% approx.

  •  What percentage of the trust’s transaction volume is covered by a contract?

As above
