The Trust’s Programme Office) have completed four major schemes where we believe the question of EPC’s may arise; they are:
1. New Ward Block at Good Hope – Ward Block 1
2. A&E Refurbishment at Good Hope
3. Day Case Theatre Refurbishment and Extension at Good Hope
4. Pathology Extension at Heartlands
As either a totally new building or a significant extension with major changes to it’s building services (mainly energy generation/usage/heat source), we are advised that 1. and 4. above require Energy/Building Regulation certification/approval; the documentation associated with these two developments is attached.
With refurbishments, we are advised, the requirements are not so black and white; the design & build contractor involved has stated that certificates are not required for 2. and 3. and hence none were provided for the refurbishment under the contract.
2. Copies of any energy performance/efficiency audits in the last 12 months.
