FOI 2920 Waiting times data

The response to your query is detailed below:

1. Considering patients across all pathways (admitted/non-admitted/incomplete) who breached their 18 week Referral to treatment target between January and November 2013 what was:

a)    The total number in breach who were transferred to an alternative provider on the NHS as a result? 19 patients seen in the Private Sector, funded by the NHS, who were reported as 18 week breaches during Jan13-Nov13

And

b)    This expressed as a proportion of all those in beach of the RTT target? Total admitted (unadjusted) patient breaches = 5,039. This equates to 0.38%

2. Does the Trust record whether such transfers were initiated by patients or the relevant departments within the hospital? If so what is the percentage split between the two? We have no record of this

3. As of November 2013, what is the longest waiting time for:

(a) any treatment/procedure; – 360 days (51 weeks) as at 30/11/2013

(b) any diagnostic test? – 13 weeks as at 30/11/2013 (Gynae – cystoscopy)

at the Trust.
