FOI 3079 Danwood and printing

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  The response to your query is detailed below:

 

  1. 1.     Has your organisation used the company Danwood at any point in the last 5 financial years for printing or administrative services? If yes, please can you detail when the contract was signed, the total value of it, and its duration.

The Trust has a Print Managed Services Contract which comprises of the provision of printing equipment, consumables,  service & maintenance and reporting, printing set up design and infomatics. The annual contract cost of this service is about £2m. The Print Managed Service contract with Danwood expires in December 2014.

  1. 2.     What is the total cost charged to your organisation for printing per page for a) colour printing and b) black and white printing (assuming standard A4, but please specify if different)?

Although the Trust holds this information,we are witholding this information under section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000: Information is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of any person (including the public authority holding it).

 3.       Has your organisation ever filed a complaint against the company Danwood in the last 5 financial years? If so, please can you detail what the nature of that complaint was.

The Trust has not filed a formal complaint against Danwood the company. There have been regular meetings between the directors of Danwood and the Trust throughout the contract, as part of managing the on-going relationships between the two organisations.   In some of these meetings there have been issues to resolve as part of managing the best service available for the Trust.
