  • All information regarding hospital policy on the allowance of parents/3rd parties to stay overnight on the ward at good hope hospital, including how many parents are allowed to stay

Parents can stay and are encouraged to stay overnight on all Paediatric Wards at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital. We do have to limit this to one parent due to space & safety of the children in hospital.

 

  • Please provide a copy of Hospital Policy on persons able to travel with a patient in the ambulance Patient Transfer Policy v4.0

    Parents are allowed to travel in an ambulance with children- however, critical care transfers of children are done by KIDS Team from Birmingham Children’s Hospital – this would then be at the teams discretion & according to Birmingham Children’s Hospital KIDS policy. I have enclosed our Patient Transfer Policy

 

  • Please provide a copy of hospital policy regarding visitors, visiting times and parental rights-

    We have 24hr open visiting for parents/siblings on all Paediatric Wards. Other visitors can visit during hospital visiting times 3-4pm & 7-8pm. Visiting times are clearly displayed outside of the wards.
