The Trust does not have a list of preferred resellers so there is no fixed list of resellers who we would buy from, however we do sometimes use IT resellers and these will typically be appointed on a requirement by requirement basis, from established framework agreements such as (but not necessarily limited to) those resellers listed on agreements operated by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS).
18. Please also approximate the time spent managing your IT systems, specifically storage, per week in the unit of man hours. Also approximate the amount of time taken carving out LUNs and/or Volumes.
Storage: difficult to be estimate – 2-4 few hours per week on average – not much time is spent on carving out LUNs and/or volumes.
19. Please list any and all pain points that the IT teams, and organisation as a whole, experience with regard to the storage and usage of the virtualised workloads.
In general: the space requirements are ever growing and archiving requirements are increasing for several reasons, but also to minimise the backup requirements
20. How is your storage connected, i.e. via Fibre Channel, Ethernet (NFS or ISCSi). If your storage is currently connected via Fibre Channel, do you have access to 10 GB Ethernet, or 1 GB ethernet, and if so, please declare which.
We have a flexpod architecture offering a few types of connections up to 10GB.
