As part of your trusts clinical response to emergency department sepsis presentations; could you clarify whether antibiotics are administered under Patient group directives (PGD) or prescription only?

Yes – for administration of meropenem and pip/taz for neutropenic sepsis presenting to haematology/oncology day unit or acute medicine across 3 sites.

Could you also please provide me a copy of your emergency department Sepsis proforma/flowchart/toolkit.
