Details have been announced of this year’s summer fete held by the Friends of Solihull Hospital (FOSH) Association and there are plenty of fun activities on offer to help raise vital funds for Solihull Hospital.
Local residents in Solihull and from further afield are invited to go along and enjoy the fete on Saturday 30 May between 1pm and 5pm. Taking place in the grounds of Solihull Hospital near to the main entrance to the site, the fete will include a bouncy castle, children’s fun races, face painting, a large range of stalls, the draw for the summer raffle and a display of police, fire and vintage military vehicles.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy performances from a diverse range of local groups, including music from the Harmonie Concert Band and Birmingham Irish Pipes and Drums, dance presentations from Planet Dance, a martial arts display from by a local Tang Soo Do group and a dog training demonstration from Hatchford Brook Dog Training.
Admission is £1 for adults, with accompanied children, staff and patients able to attend for free. There is also free onsite parking while at the fete.
Bill Jones, chairman of FOSH, said: “We hold events throughout the year to help raise money to support Solihull Hospital and the summer fete provides a wonderful opportunity for the local community to come together, have some fun and raise vitally important funds which will support the services they use.
“We are passionate about supporting Solihull Hospital and I hope to see as many people as possible there on the day to make the summer fete another big success.”
