Locals interested in learning more about a common procedure carried out to help tackle lung disease have the chance to hear from a Solihull specialist when the Hospital hosts a talk on the subject.
Taking place on Wednesday 19 October at Solihull Hospital at 5pm, Dr Chirag Dave, acute/respiratory medicine consultant, will explain the process behind a bronchoscopy procedure and the history of bronchoscopy. Dr Dave will also highlight diseases that can be diagnosed through this common practice.
Dr Dave said: “Bronchoscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to look at the airways of your lungs using a bronchoscope and help diagnose any issues with your lungs. Some of the risks that can occur during and after bronchoscopy include: sore nose, sore throat and coughing up blood.
“I hope that by hosting the seminar, locals will be encouraged to come along to learn more about bronchoscopy and play a part in raising awareness about the procedure.”
If you would like to attend the seminar, please contact Sandra White, membership and community engagement manager, on 0121 424 1218 or email: membership@heartofengland.nhs.uk.
