Palliative and end of life care are important issues for the Trust. Our Trust aims to promote a culture in which all patients, regardless of diagnosis or location, will receive high quality, co-ordinated end of life care in a place of their choosing (where possible), delivered by trained and informed healthcare professionals.

Patients will be supported in making decisions about their lives and in planning for their death in partnership with their clinicians and carers. Families and carers will be supported in an appropriate environment during the patient’s illness and in their bereavement.
