Carrie-Illingworth-Vicky-MastersLocals across Solihull will have the opportunity to get professional advice and help on how to live a healthier life in the coming weeks, as the You+ Lifestyle Shop takes its expertise out on the road to help promote health and wellbeing in the community.

The You+ Lifestyle Shop, based in Chelmsley Wood, is launching a healthy lifestyle mobile unit on Thursday 6 March in Mell Square, covering health issues as wide-ranging as stop smoking advice, blood pressure checks, weight management, sexual health, fitness levels, alcohol dependency, breastfeeding and mental health.

The mobile unit will then continue to Solihull Hospital on Friday 7 March, Arran Way Shopping Centre on Saturday 8 March, Jaguar Landrover on Lode Lane on Monday 10 March, the Asda in Chelmsley Wood on Tuesday 11 March and the Home Office on Homer Road on Wednesday 12 March.

Locals will be able to visit the mobile unit between 9am and 3pm at all venues.

Catherine Sinton, specialist stop smoking advisor at Solihull Stop Smoking Service, said: “The road show provides a fantastic opportunity for locals to find out valuable information on a wide range of health topics. All are welcome to come along and ask questions, and make use of the free information and advice on offer.”
