The Trust is committed to putting the patient first and recognises that staff strive to provide excellent standards of patient care. However we acknowledge that on occasions concerns about patient care arise which require further investigation. It is essential that we put steps in place to safeguard patients, staff and more importantly learn from our mistakes to prevent them from reoccurring.  The disciplinary policies have been updated to reflect our commitment to protecting patients and to balance this with fairness to staff.
