Don’t forget to make a date in your diary for a family day of fun at the Good Hope Hospital community summer fete on Saturday 18 July.
Taking place from midday until 4pm outside the Treatment Centre on the hospital grounds, there will be something for everyone to enjoy including donkey rides, face painting, bric-a-brac stalls, a collection of vintage cars on display, health checks, local craft stalls and a toddler sensory session. It promises to be a fun day for all the family with all proceeds from the fete going to the Friends of Good Hope Hospital charitable fund that helps support the patients, visitors and staff at Good Hope.
Dr Arne Rose, associate medical director at Good Hope, said: “The community fete was a great success last year and is shaping up to be another great day again this year. As a hospital based in the heart of Sutton Coldfield, I feel that it is important to open our doors to the community so they can find out a little more about what we do.
“I would encourage everyone to come along whether they have a particular interest in health or not. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.”
To find out more about the current projects and activities of the Heart of England NHS Trust’s dedicated charity, please come and visit their stand at the fete.
The fete will be officially opened at 12pm by Andrew Mitchell MP, the Member of Parliament for Royal Sutton Coldfield. Entry is only £1 for adults and 50p for children. Visitors’ car parking is free of charge via the Bedford Road entrance.
