Give a teddy bear a home to help poorly children at Good Hope Hospital

Acres (1)Sutton Coldfield Estate Agents, Acres is appealing to local people to give a teddy bear a home to raise money for the Children’s Ward at Good Hope Hospital.

Acres have teamed up with Heart of England Charity, the official Charity for Good Hope Hospital, to raise £2,500 to buy a Phillips Portable Monitor. This is a small and portable device enabling staff to continuously monitor a patient’s status, providing detailed information such as heart rate and blood pressure in a fast and effective way.

Acres Partner, Mike Weaver, said: “These are some of the best bears money can buy and all bears need a home before Christmas! A bear can be yours with a £10 donation at our various offices around the Sutton Coldfield area. Not only will you have a great gift to treasure, but you’ll be supporting poorly children at Good Hope Hospital. The more bears find a home for Christmas, the quicker Acres can buy the monitor.”

Senior staff nurse at Good Hope, Sarah Bell-Scott, said: “A huge thank you to Acres for helping us raise this money. The machine will make a massive difference to some of the sickest children in the region. It will allow us to much more effectively treat children and quickly monitor our patients in a more accurate way. Countless children from the local area will benefit.

“We are really grateful to Acres Estate Agents for supporting us in this appeal and hope that lots of local people dig deep and support poorly children at Good Hope Hospital.”

If you’d like a bear, pop into any Acres office, including Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, Great Barr, Kingstanding and Wylde Green.
