Good Hope Hospital appoints new managing director

R Parker MD GHH 018_2An experienced healthcare leader has been appointed as the interim managing director of Good Hope Hospital.

Richard Parker comes to the Hospital with nearly 20 years’ experience at a senior level in the NHS, having held positions in a range of acute NHS and private sector organisations  including executive director of operations at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust and associate director of operations at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Before joining Good Hope, Mr Parker managed and implemented the emergency care recovery programme at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. 

Richard said: “I have been impressed by the warm welcome I have received at Good Hope.  I am looking forward to working in this role to ensure that high quality patient services are provided.  I strongly believe in the principles of pride and staff satisfaction.  Whilst in this interim role over the next year I wish to enthuse staff to be even more proud of what they do and this then provides then with the building blocks to provide the best possible patient care.”

Richard joins Good Hope Hospital after previous managing director Sue Moore announced she was to take up a position as chief operating officer at Lancashire Care Foundation Trust.
