Mustafa Sajeel – emergency department consultant

Mustafa is a consultant in ED and lead at Good Hope. He’s lived in Sutton Coldfield since 2007 and is married with two children.

He  moved to West Midlands in 2006 and started training as a registrar in Emergency Medicine. He has worked at different hospitals across the region including City Hospital, New Cross, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Telford Hospital.

After finishing his Registrar rotation at Telford he joined our Trust in 2011 and has worked as a consultant in our ED department since then.

He loves living in Birmingham and thrives on the teamwork and support he gets from his colleagues.

“Birmingham is a really happening place, we go out for meals and watch movies as a family – there are lots of opportunities here …and if you are into food this is the best place to be…”

“We know that if we are facing a difficult situation we will stick together and ensure that the quality of care that we are delivering to the patient is not compromised.

“As a team we have people from different and cultural backgrounds people who’ve learned from experiences in different countries. It’s a very open department in that sense, a very welcoming department, welcoming to people from different backgrounds.”
