A new group hoping to raise £15,000 in a year for Good Hope Hospital is appealing for fundraising volunteers to help them reach their ambitious target.
Friends of Good Hope Hospital has already raised £1,200 from two supermarket bucket collections. All the money raised by the group will be used to improve the experience of patients in hospital.
They are planning a range of fundraising activities including bric-à-brac stalls, car-boot sales, coffee mornings and bucket collections throughout 2016, so if you have some time to spare and would like to get involved or to donate, please get in touch with them on:

In particular they need volunteers who can help to run collections in local venues and raise awareness of their work.
Tony Cannon, joint chair of Friends of Good Hope Hospital, said: “This is a first-class way of putting something back and helps support the team at the hospital. We hope our fundraising will benefit the patients who need to come into the hospital. If you want to be involved in something fun and at the same time be able to make a real difference, please don’t miss this great opportunity!”
Elaine Coulthard, joint chair of the group and Governor at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Good Hope Hospital, said: “My heart is with Good Hope Hospital and I volunteer in the Emergency Department two nights a week. I am part of the team and feel so very welcome. I want to put something back, which is why we started Friends of Good Hope Hospital.”
