Dr James Good

Professional profile

Dr Good studied immunology and evolutionary biology at the University of Birmingham before completing a PhD in molecular biology and vaccine immunology at Cambridge University. He then trained in medicine at University College London and had a broad training in internal medicine in London and Oxford before embarking on training in cancer medicine and radiotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

He now has a clinical practice in colorectal and anal cancers at University Hospitals Birmingham, giving drug treatment at Good Hope hospital and radiothearpy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He is an integral part of the colorectal, anal, liver, peritoneal and stereotactic radiotherapy multi-discplinary teams and has particular expertise in integrating chemothearpy with other treatments for people with advanced (secondary) cancer.
