Mr Simon Fallis

MA MBBS FRCS (Gen. Surg.)

Mr Fallis studied medicine at the University of Oxford and St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London, graduating with distinction in 2003. After house officer posts in the South East, he moved to the West Midlands to complete his surgical training. He was appointed as a Consultant at the trust in 2015.His areas of colorectal expertise include the treatment of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), diverticular disease and benign proctology (haemorrhoids, fistulae and fissures). He has an interest in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and is a trained laparoscopic surgeon. He is a fully JAG accredited colonoscopist.Mr Fallis has a specialist interest in the management of advanced colorectal and appendix tumours. Prior to his consultant post he completed a specialist fellowship at the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute in Basingstoke and the European Peritoneal Surface Oncology training programme. He is part of a team at Good Hope Hospital who regularly provide cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for suitable patients.
